We are currently restoring this rare factory Special Equipment XK120 roadster, chassis S675753. The car was despatched on the 16th of June 1954 to Hornburgs, Los Angeles and sold to S.L.Goldike of California. It was purchased by a Sydney based Jaguar enthusiast in 1981 and shipped to Australia where it has been stored until March 2010 when it was purchased by the current owner who has commissioned Concours Sportscar Restoration to undergo a total restoration. The car left the factory Cream with blue interior and a fawn hood.

Dismantling the entire car so the chassis could be sandblasted and the bodyshell alkaline dipped.

Body and all panels stripped of all the old paint. The bonnet, bootlid and rear guards are all pretty good, the doors need a lot of work but the body shell is not too bad. Needs sills, battery box, shut faces, a new firewall and some other isolated repairs.

The chassis was in good condition, no rust, but lots of dents and damage on the underside to attend to. The chassis was checked to make sure it was true then the body could be refitted for the repairs to begin.
