This is S850664, one of the three factory cars entered for the 1963 Le Mans. We are building a replica of this car, including a full alloy block, wide angle head, dry sump, Lucas injected engine. The car will be built to correct FIA specifications and will be raced.

We have started with a series 1 tub and have removed the outer panels which will be remade in alloy. The tub was in very good condition, we fitted new floor footwells and new front bulkhead sections with extra strengthening where the frames bolt on. Then new, fully uprated front frames were fitted.

The front suspension components zinc plated ready for assembly. MKIX brakes will be used as per the factory cars. A dummy engine with a wide angle head was trial fitted so we could use a selection of exhuast extractors to try on the dyno to find the best combination. A correct FIA approved manifold will also be tried for comparision and will be used when raced.

Replica Magnesium cast wheels with Dunlop Racing tyres will be fitted.

A new torque biasing differential with a 3.77 ratio will be used, correct Lucas Le Mans headlight and the peg drive hubs.
