MECHANICAL RESTORATION
The restoration of the mechanical componentry and the reassembly of a classic Jaguar or Aston Martin ultimately determines the success of the restoration. Careful attention to detail along with extensive knowledge of the vehicle being restored is needed and only then will the vehicle be successfully reassembled to achieve reliability, the correct level of performance and detailed accuracy.
At Concours Sportscar Restoration, our team has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Jaguar and Aston Martin motor vehicles, especially the models that are more commonly restored E Type, XK, MKII, DB4,5 and 6.
We overhaul and restore the brakes, steering, suspension, differentials, gearboxes and engines in house. Having our own paintshop enables us to paint any mechanical component in the correct finish, in house. All wiring is also completed in house and we coordinate the installation of sound systems, windscreen installations and interior trimming to be done at our premises.
This very important stage of the restoration is carried out in our special carpeted assembly area adjacent to our spare parts stocks.
