BODYWORK RESTORATION

Three stages in the major restoration of a Series one 3.8 E Type roadster. Note our body jig which was fabricated using factory chassis dimensions, which not only provides an ergonomic working position for our body craftsmen, but also ensures exact accuracy and correct body alignment
Restoration of any Jaguar or Aston Martin body is a very complex and time consuming task that should only be attempted by craftsmen who have a wealth of experience, detailed knowledge of the body type to be restored and he must have access to an array of equipment that is not seen in your average body shop.
Due to variations in production, we hand fabricate almost every repair section from a sill panel to a complete body (we have made an XK120 body complete) in house ensuring that the panels made are tailored to suit your particular car. Remember, these cars were hand built in the first place so how can you expect mass produced panels to fit exactly?
We lead wipe seams as original and hand file the body so a minimum amount of paint material is required.
If your choice of bodyshop doesn't have jigs and templates hanging from the wall, a wheeling machine and panbrake and a team of dedicated craftsmen, maybe you should contact Concours Sportscar Restoration for your body restoration. You only get one chance!
